
Successful Launch of NTNU Rocket in Portugal
On Friday, October 13, NTNU Propulse conducted a successful launch of the Bifrost rocket in Portugal. The rocket reached an altitude of 1000 meters, and this launch was part of the European Rocketry Challenge – EuRoC in Portugal.

– This is our next step towards space
On Thursday, September 28th, the rocket Bifrost was unveiled. In October, it is scheduled for launch in Portugal.

The world’s first student-arranged student competition in autonomous ships
Seven student teams from six countries and three continents participated. The competition was organized in the Norwegian university city Trondheim and will be held every year from now on.

Increase in the number of applicants to NTNU
23,981 applicants have NTNU as their first choice for higher education in 2023. NTNU therefore keeps the position as the country´s most sought-after university. The number of applicants increases by 1.9 percent compared to last year.

53 refugees admitted at NTNU this semester
A total of 53 refugees have been admitted at NTNU in the spring semester through a separate admissions scheme. Of these, 47 come from Ukraine.

Awarded Prize for Best Space-related Master´s Thesis
Rannveig Marie Færgestad wrote her MSc thesis at SFI CASA in spring 2021. The title was «Modeling and simulation of hypervelocity impact against debris shields for spacecraft protection». Back then, she called it her dream thesis. Obviously, the space industry had a taste for it, too.

NTNU wants 200 student places for refugees
NTNU wants to be allocated 200 temporary student places for Ukrainian refugees from this autumn onward.
