The SALUBRIS project, funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) and leaded by IDV, focuses on multimodal CASEVAC, employing a mix of Uncrewed Systems in different domains (land, sea, air) to perform casualty detection, recovery, and evacuation, through swarm coordination. Furthermore, this project employs sensors data fusion from wearable and nearable sensors to provide autonomous triage based, employing explainable AI techniques to prioritize the casualties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its third EDF project being awarded in three years of activity, the recently established System Software Group<\/em>, led by Stefano Cherubin, reinforces its position as a leader in the sector of enabling technologies for heavily specialized computing systems such as those for defence applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In SALUBRIS, NTNU act as part of the core project team as one of the main scientific partners for the project, providing competence in computational efficiency and reliability of autonomous systems. Following the ongoing CAPSARII project, NTNU will advance these concepts from wearable devices to autonomous vehicles and distributed sensing systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an exciting opportunity to apply the research of the System Software Group to solutions that can make a difference. NTNU looks forward to implementing this research action in cooperation with the strong Norwegian cluster of partners and the wider network of European collaborators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
