For more than three decades, His Majesty King Harald has been a unifying force for Norway. His warmth, wisdom, and steadfast belief in the value of community have made a lasting impression on people across the country. We are grateful for King Harald&#8217;s efforts to promote knowledge and science. May he rest in peace,&#8221; says Rector Tor Grande.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Flags at Half-Mast<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of a death in the Royal Family, NTNU follows national guidelines for periods of national mourning and other significant national events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NTNU will fly its flags to half-mast once the death has been officially announced.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flags will remain at half-mast for up to three days, or for as long as directed by the Government, as well as on the day of the funeral.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A photograph of the King and memorial candles will be displayed at NTNU&#8217;s campuses in Trondheim, Gj\u00f8vik, and \u00c5lesund.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Information will be published on Innsida and on ntnu.no.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teaching and work at NTNU will continue as normal.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Are you a student and need someone to talk to?&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/innsida.ntnu.no\/are%20there%20for%20you%20if%20you%20need%20someone%20to%20talk%20to\">The university chaplains are there for you.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At NTNU, the national flag will be flown at our official flag sites:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gl\u00f8shaugen&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gj\u00f8vik&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00c5lesund&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Condolence books<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Condolence books have been made available at Nidaros Cathedral and Trondheim City Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gj\u00f8vik Municipality\u2019s condolence book is available at City Hall.
