Photo: Martin Ludvigsen, NTNU<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Grethe<\/em> and <em>AutoNaut<\/em> mapped the area with echosounders and used a neural network to pinpoint the locations and depths of zooplankton layers. Photo: AUR-Lab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the ground \u2013 or rather, at sea \u2013 the field engineers prepared and deployed the vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Remote operation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, back at TBS in Trondheim, a simple click of a mouse initiated the operations.
