Celebration of 217 new doctors
Friday 8 March the stage was set for another solemn celebration of these new PhDs, on the same day as International Women’s Day.
No reports of damages at NTNU’s campuses
The preparedness that was put in place beforehand has now been lifted.
Campuses in Trondheim and Ålesund closed from Wednsday evening and until 8 am Thursday
Campuses in Ålesund and Trondheim will be closed for events between 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening and 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning due to extreme weather. This is because the extreme weather “Ingunn” is expected to be at its most intense during this period.

The predicted extreme weather “Ingunn” will have consequences for students and employees in Trondheim and Ålesund. Classes in Ålesund will be closed on Wednesday. NTNU requests that everyone at the affected campuses exercise extra caution and follow the advice given.
Will hire rector and investigate the management model
The NTNU board has decided that the rector position will be announced now, but that time should be spent on investigating the management model at NTNU.
The annual Christmas gift goes to Doctors Without Borders
NTNU has a tradition of giving an annual gift to a charitable organization. This year, 200,000 Norwegian kroner is being donated to Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) for their humanitarian work in war and conflict zones.
